MMK Industrial Park Signs Cooperation Agreement with WorldSkills Russia

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, July 5, 2019. OOO MMK Industrial Park and WorldSkills Russia signed a cooperation agreement, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works’ (MMK) press service reports.
‘Under the terms of the agreement, the industrial park’s residents will be able to offer professional development and continuous professional education courses to people in the 50+ age group free of charge; the courses will meet the international WorldSkills standards and will be offered as part of the Older Generation Project/National Demography Project,’ the press service says.
Now WorldSkills Russia acts as WorldSkills’ official representative in Russia and is present in every part of the country. Students on the program will be able to upgrade their professional qualifications and prolong their active career or start a new one. They can choose from programs streamlined along 116 different categories that fully reflect the job market’s current needs. There are seven course sections all in all: IT, Engineering & Production, Construction, the Tertiary Sector, Art & Design, Transportation & Logistics, and Education.
‘The industrial park’s site is a fully furnished 65-hectare facility. There are 24 residents at the park at the moment, responsible for the creation of 410 new jobs,’ MMK says.
