Sverdlovsk Region: Wholesale Traders’ Turnover Down 11.7% in January-March

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 6, 2019. Sverdlovsk Region-based wholesale traders sold RUB 386.1 billion worth of goods in the first quarter of 2019, which was 11.7% less than in the first quarter of 2018, Sverdlovskstat reports.
According to Sverdlovskstat, 37.3% of the sector’s overall turnover stemmed from small enterprises.
In January-March 2019, wholesale traders (excluding small enterprises and companies with under 15 employees) sold 2.6 times more fish and fish products, 2.4 times more bread and baked goods, 2 times more canned fish, 1.9 times more salt and sugar, 1.8 times more pasta and similar foods, 1.5 times more pastry and sweets, 45.8% more sausages and salami, 22.8% more butter, 14% more flour, 9.2% more cheese, 5.7% more vegetable oil, 2.9% more meat and poultry (excluding byproducts), 10% more diesel fuel, and 1.7% more gasoline than one year previously.
At the same time, their sales of milk, margarine, and canned meat dropped by 1.7 times, 26.1%, and 4.4%, respectively.
