UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 26, 2019. ChelPipe Group joined in the all-Russian No Turnstile Week this month; the initiative was meant to support job counseling programs for the young. More than 2,000 people went on guided tours of ChelPipe Group’s enterprises in Chelyabinsk, Pervouralsk, and Almetyevsk as a result.
According to the Group’s press service, high school and college students, teachers, and parents could all take a look at their up-to-date pipe-rolling and pipe-drawing facilities, welding departments, metal treatment departments, assembly sites, and hi tech industrial robots; they could also get acquainted with the full technological cycle for making electric centrifugal pumps and electric engines for the oil industry.
During this No Turnstile Week, the young people also learned about the Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program and went to ChelPipe Group’s Training Center and Tatarstan’s College of The Future, where students train to become highly skilled blue-collar workers at the Group’s member enterprises in Sverdlovsk Region, Chelyabinsk Region, and Tatarstan.
‘Our goal is to introduce our visitors to the actual training environment we provide, let them see our White-Coated Metallurgy advanced production facilities, and tell them about the needed blue-collar jobs and employment opportunities at the plant. The doors-open format is especially useful in that it ensures maximum interaction between the visitors and the teachers and students on our Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program; as a result, today’s schoolchildren start taking a greater interest in metallurgical and machine-building jobs,’ says acting head of the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program Department Alexei Smirnov.
More than 19,000 schoolchildren take part in ChelPipe Group’s job counseling activities every year.
