Moscow Schools Look Into ChelPipe Group’s Experience

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 14, 2018. Representatives of Moscow Department of Education, WorldSkills Russia, and leading vocational schools came to see ChelPipe Group’s innovative production site in the Urals, the Group’s press service reports.
Their guided tour covered a visit to the White-Coated Metallurgy department at the Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ) and the Group’s Training Center. The visitors also went to one of Russia’s most hi tech pipe-making facilities Iron Ozone 32 (an electric steel-smelting shop), and Finishing Center for making OCTGs. The Group’s Training Center presented its robotic technologies and pipe-drawing mills that students on the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Program use to practice.
‘ChelPipe Group has been working on its Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program for skilled blue-collar job workers together with Sverdlovsk Region Government and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School within the framework of public-private partnership for six years now. The program’s 545 alumni are qualified to use robotic technologies, operate NC mills, and have three to four blue-collar qualifications as well,’ says PNTZ Managing Director Alexei Dronov.
