6 September 2019 (09:13)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 6, 2019. Five hundred people are now new students on ChelPipe Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program and Tatarstan’s College of The Future Program.

According to the Group’s press service, the enrollment campaign ran at Pervouralsk Metallurgical School (Sverdlovsk Region), A.V. Yakovlev Chelyabinsk State Industrial/Humanities School (Chelyabinsk Region), and Almetyevsk Vocational School (Tatarstan).

More than nine hundred young people submitted their proposals. In the end, 250 people got enrolled as first-year students in Pervouralsk, 125 people got enrolled in Chelyabinsk, and 125 people got enrolled in Almetyevsk. The applicants will train for qualifications that got listed by the Russian Federation Labor & Social Welfare Ministry as the country’s Top 50 Most Promising Jobs.

‘ChelPipe Group’s corporate training programs help create a long-term cadre pool for the company. Starting this year, a new employer-sponsored education scheme has been introduced in Pervouralsk. This means the best-performing second-year students can sign a contract with ChelPipe Group that secures their employment at the Group’s advanced production sites in the future. The employer sponsorship means these students will be eligible for extra social and financial support during their training and internship and can get personal mentoring support and obtain practical job experience,’ says ChelPipe Group’s Organizational Development & HR Oksana Tikhonova.

The Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program is based on the German dual-education model: 40% theory and 60% practice at the Group’s hi tech equipment. It was the Group’s shareholders’ decision that the best-performing students should be paid additional scholarships. The future white-coated metallurgists also have everything necessary for sports and creative pursuits; besides, they can serve their army terms at one of the Group-supported regiments in Sverdlovsk Region, Chelyabinsk Region, or Samara Region.

By the end of the course, every student on the program will have mastered three or four blue-collar jobs. More than 70% of the program’s alumni come to work at ChelPipe Group’s member enterprises.
