UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 26, 2019. ChelPipe Group presented its Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Blue-Collar Training Program to schoolchildren and their parents at the International SMART EXPO URAL Exhibition in Yekaterinburg on March 22-24, the Group’s press service reports.

The Group operated a stand where the program trainers and experts told their visitors about the job qualifications the pipe manufacturers are looking for, and about carrier opportunities at pipe-making plants.

Visitors to the stand could also take a look at the Group’s production facilities in the course of a 3D glasses-assisted virtual tour of Iron Ozone 32 Steel-Smelting Shop and OCTG Finishing Center at ChelPipe Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ), the large-diameter pipe-making shop Vysota 239 at Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), and ETERNO. Schoolchildren and their parents were also given full information about enrolling for the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Program in 2019 and the advantages it offers, as well as about the students’ social welfare package. More than a thousand parents, schoolchildren, and preschoolers went to the stand during the three days of the exhibition.

ChelPipe Group has a large-scale job counseling program as part of its continuous professional development system for highly skilled metallurgical industry cadre. We’ve trained 917 qualified blue-collar workers - welders, mechanics, electricians, service engineers, and crane operators - in the seven years the program has been around. The best of these are now employed at our White-Coated Metallurgy departments. 1,872 students are currently studying on the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Blue-Collar Training Program in Pervouralsk, Chelyabinsk, and Almetyevsk.
