NTMK Workers Get Money Prizes

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 12, 2016. Four workers of EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) won L.Ya.
Mekhontsev and I.I. Polzunov Prizes for their innovations and improvement proposals, the company press service reports.
Chair of the Russian Inventors’ Society Sverdlovsk Region division Alexei Okunev presented the society’s honorary certificates to the prize-winners. Head of converter shop Oleg Dolmatov and head of vanadium slag production department Andrei Belokurov also received the Polzunov Prize, while steel caster Ildar Gilmanov and foreman from beam rolling department Mikhail Pyankov received the Mekhontsev Prize.
The Leonid Mekhontsev Prize and the Ivan Polzunov Prize are two of the most prestigious prizes for innovators and inventors in the Urals. The prizes are awarded for innovative proposals, improvement solutions, and various inventions. Twenty of EVRAZ NTMK workers have received the prize in the last decade alone. There are over 1,500 inventor engineers working at the plant all in all.
