UrBC, Chelyabinsk, December 17, 2018. The solemn awarding ceremony for Yakov Osadchiy fellows took place at Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) this week, ChelPipe Group’s press service reports.
‘The corporate fellowship was established in 2001, the year the plant’s legendary director Yakov Osadchiy would have turned one hundred, in order to encourage and invite gifted young people to come to ChelPipe Group. This year, the fellowship got awarded to students of Russian Technological University, Ural Federal University, and South Ural State University who excel academically, in sports, and in social/public work. Throughout the year, they will receive RUB 5,000 every month,’ the press service says.
The awards were given out by ChelPipe Group’s shareholder and Chair of the BOD Alexander Fedorov and Yakov Osadchiy’s son, ChelPipe Counselor for Science & Technology, Prof. Vladimir Osadchiy.
‘Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant presents a synergy of tradition and innovation. Yakov Pavlovich Osadchiy and the first generation of pipe manufacturers created a solid foundation for the plant’s further development and new success stories. However the technologies may change, people are still the key to success both in Osadchiy’s days and today. I’m confident that the fellows and the students who gathered here today will be able to make their own contribution to the pipe industry’s growth. The main thing is to feel motivated to invest one’s talents and skills! ChelPipe Group needs young, proactive, well-educated employees,’ Alexander Fedorov said.
