Rimera Group Supplies Compression Pipes to ChelPipe
30 July 2018 (11:32)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 30, 2018. Rimera Group’s Rimera Service in Noyabrsk (part of ChelPipe Group’s oilfield division) made and supplied to the plant its first pilot batch of 177 pumping and compression pipes (diameter: 73 mm) made by order of Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant/ChelPipe. The pipes come with wear-resistant retaining devices.
According to ChelPipe Group’s press service, the retaining devices ensure that the threaded parts of the pipe remain airtight even after numerous landings and pulling out of strings; they also prevent any damage to the pipe surface, which expands the product’s lifespan considerably and makes it quite competitive on the oil and gas market.
These new pumping and compression pipes are 20% longer than the standard ones, so the technology had to get adjusted and the hydraulic testing unit had to get upgraded in order to meet the customer’s demands. Also, a new packaging technique that involved special wooden transport frames was used to make sure the pipes arrive fully intact.
