ChTPZ Group Supplies New Pipes to Surgutneftegaz

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 1, 2017. ChTPZ Group recently supplied a new, experimental set of pumping and compression pipes with F 3.2 threaded joints to Surgutneftegaz. The pipes were made at the Group’s Finishing Center at Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant, the company press service reports.

The pipes (diameter: 73 mm; layer thickness: 5.5 mm) are used in the formation hydraulic fracturing process, which is one of the ways to increase an oil or gas well’s output, and for a number of technological procedures in straight and inclined wells.

The pipes are very durable because they are made from a special kind of steel and have a 3.2 mm threaded joint. The produce got tested at a specialized research institute and proved to withstand all kinds of exposure such as stretching, compression, and internal and external pressure.

‘The Group keeps developing new, promising products for the oil and gas industry. These pumping and compression pipes with F 3.2 threaded joints will increase the overall amount of high value-added produce we sell on the OCTG market,’ says the Group’s Commercial Director Denis Prikhodko.
