158,000 People Stay in Yekaterinburg Hotels On World Cup Days

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 5, 2018. The demand for hotel rooms rose by 28% in Yekaterinburg during the World Football Championship days compared with one year earlier, Sverdlovsk Region’s Information Policy Department refers to Hotel Advisors’ research findings as indicating.
It is reported that the hotels were 73.7% full on average throughout the entire championship-hosting fortnight (no data are available for hostels or private apartments). The per-room revenue is estimated at RUR 4,050, which is RUR 2,061 more than one year earlier.
According to Sverdlovsk Region Tourism Development Center, over 158,000 people stayed in Yekaterinburg hotels all in all, including visitors from Peru, Mexico, Uruguay, Great Britain, New Zealand, Egypt, France, French Polynesia, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Belarus, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Austria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Morocco, Malta, Croatia, Chile, Finland, Germany, Senegal, the United States, Israel, Norway, Singapore, Turkey, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Lebanon, and the Philippines.
