MMK Holds 18th Young Workers’ Conference

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, May 24, 2018. The 18th International Young Workers’ Science & Technology Conference is now over in Magnitogorsk, Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

Delegates from metallurgical enterprises based in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus all came to the conference. Over 120 young workers presented their research papers in multiple-track sessions streamlined along sintering, metallurgy, metal-rolling, energy, transportation, logistics, coke-making, and (for the first time) IT as well as a number of other fields.

‘Winners were designated at the end of the conference and awarded in the course of a solemn ceremony in S.Ordzhonikidze Levobereznhy Culture Palace. The conference ‘hosts’ - young presenters from MMK Group’s member enterprises - made up the majority of the awardees. Prizes were awarded to session winners and to those who made the best presentations in Savings, Originality, Best Research Paper. MMK Pravo’s Maria Yakunina, Roman Kustov, and Ivan Galtsov won the three prizes in Law. MMK Informservis’s Natalya Khalaftayeva, Nikolai Krasilnikov, and Yulay Gafarov won in IT,’ the company says.
