Sverdlovsk Oblast Taxpayers to Make RUR 8bn in Extra Payments

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 13, 2017. Sverdlovsk Oblast’s tax authorities issued RUR 148m worth of additional tax warrants, with money to be paid to the consolidated national budget, following their checks and inspections in the nine months of 2017, Sverdlovsk Oblast division of Russia’s Federal Tax Service reports.
1.3m in-house tax audits of taxpayers’ declarations resulted in RUR 1.372bn worth of extra tax warrants. 513 on-site audits of businesses and 72 checks of private individuals resulted in RUR 5.104bn worth of extra tax payments to be made. The on-site tax audits of businesses and private individuals thus proved 99% and 97% efficient.
Local tax authorities carried out 128 field tax audits in January-September 2017, which comes to 18% of all inspections. As a result, taxpayers will have to pay RUR 2.355bn more in taxes.
Most of the tax warrants have to do with VAT, income tax, and corporate income tax payments.
The overall amount of extra tax payments came to RUR 3.223bn, which is RUR 177.4m (5.8%) more than one year earlier.
