UrBC, Magnitogorsk, October 26, 2017. Metallurg Charity Fund (for which Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works acts as the primary donor) won Silver Standard in the 8th national Tochka Otscheta, a contest of nongovernmental organizations’ annual reports, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.
244 applicants submitted their reports for the contest altogether. Every report got categorized as Basic, Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
‘Ours is a very transparent NGO. All the data are open to the general public. What matters to us is this acknowledgement of our efforts, of what all the employees and volunteers do for Magnitogorsk and the surrounding rural territories,’ says head of the fund’s Children’s Department Nadezhda Likhova.
‘The annual report represents our entire team’s efforts and has details on all the programs we supervise and the contests we take part in. Metallurg has been preparing detailed annual reports since 2006. We keep on working on our open-ended programs such as the ones meant to support retirees and people with disabilities medically and financially. We also run our multi-faceted children’s program jointly with Russian Children’s Fund’s Chelyabinsk Region division,’ the Department says.
