UrBC, Magnitogorsk, February 14, 2019. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK)-supported Metallurg Charity Foundation coordinated the Board’s meeting this month. The Board adopted the program for the year and the budget plan for 2019, MMK’s press service reports.

The foundation got established three decades ago last year; Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works has remained the organization’s primary benefactor the whole time. The foundation focuses on supporting old-age pensioners, families with three or more children, families with children with disabilities, and so on.

This year, Metallurg will allocate exactly the same funding as last year to all of its charity programs, including programs for gifted local children, maternity programs, and family-oriented programs. The funding provided will amount to nearly RUB 856 million.

As usual, Metallurg will also hold four meetings open to the general public from Magnitogorsk, Agapovsky, and Kizilsky to report on its performance in 2018.
