3 October 2017 (12:57)

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, October 3, 2017. MMK Group’s MMK METIZ Plant in Magnitogorsk was founded seventy-five years ago on October 1, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

MMK METIZ is now one of the Group’s key assets in the deep-level processing of rolled metal goods segment and high value-added produce segment.

‘The plant is known both in and outside Russia as a reliable business partner with seventy five years’ experience of making and selling metal goods. The plant has been one of the country’s top three metal goods manufacturers for quite a while now. MMK METIZ makes all kinds of metal goods from the traditional railroad spikes, nails, and wire mesh to the innovative fittings that are made using the most advanced equipment,’ the Department says.

MMK METIZ supplies its produce to customers in the machine-building and car making segments, to companies in the fuel and energy sector, to metallurgical enterprises, to building companies, and to Russian Railways. In terms of distribution across the country, most of the products are sent to customers in Ural Federal District and Central Federal District.

The plant’s current strategic development goal is to expand its range of products and achieve higher production concentration.

‘This ‘anniversary year’ marks the beginning of an unprecedented investment program that will hold through 2020. The goal is to introduce all kinds of upgrades in order to cut on production costs, to improve end product quality, to expand our product range, and to bring our EBITDA to RUR 2.3m a year. This is a unique investment program in that it is multi-faceted and touches upon all the aspects of the company operation. In the end, we’ll get a virtually new enterprise located on one, rather than two, production site. I congratulate our team on the special day and hope we can work smoothly and efficiently, achieve our goals, and all get actively involved in the investment program that will take our business to a new, higher quality level,’ MMK METIZ Director Oleg Shiryayev says.
