Obschestvo Malysheva 73 Opens Two Workout Sites in Yekaterinburg

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 20, 2017. Two new workout sites are now operating in Yekaterinburg’s Chkalovsky and Oktyabrsky Districts. The locations are 35 Latviyskaya St and 35 Pronina St. The sites were funded by Obschestvo Malysheva 73’s Dobrye Dela Charity Fund and the Anton Shipulin Foundation.
According to Obschestvo Malysheva 73’s press service, both workout sites are situated next to sports schools (a ski school in Pronina St and Fakel Sports & Health Club in Latviyskaya St).
‘We didn’t really care about the location as long as it was in a popular spot. In these two cases, people actually asked for the sites to be put up in these particular spots, so we took this into account. Each site cost RUR 700,000 to build, and this was the best way to invest this money. The workout sites are situated next to sports schools and children’s sports clubs, so we are quite confident children will be using them. This also means the school authorities will take care of the maintenance issues,’ says Obschestvo Malysheva 73’s Dobrye Dela Charity Fund’s co-founder Igor Zavodovsky.
According to Fakel representatives, the area wasn’t suitable for doing sports until now.
‘This used to be an absolutely empty spot with nothing but old grass, shrubs, and stones. Children could only do push-ups and run. Now they can practice pull-ups and sit-ups as well. We’ll try to introduce some running lanes and flower beds into the picture,’ they say.
