UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 23, 2017. Russian Copper Company keeps introducing more up-to-date sports playgrounds in the towns and cities where its member enterprises operate. Ten workout sites out of the sixteen the company intends to build this year have already been set up and opened.

According to the company press service, the workout sites are now available in Korkino, Pervomaysky, Kyshtym, and Karabash in Chelyabinsk Region and five more are located in Chelyabinsk proper.

‘Building workout sites proved one of the most important projects the company carries out in the field of sports and healthier lifestyle promotion. We get a lot of feedback, thanks, and requests for more sites from people living in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions. The crucial thing is that these sites actually do get used every day, they really proved extremely popular,’ says Russian Copper Company’s Vice President for HR and CSR Anna Shabarova.

The solemn opening ceremony for Yekaterinburg’s first workout site took place in Zelenaya Roscha Park on June 19. Quite a few locals from Leninsky District came to see the opening and now use the site to work out. They now have more opportunities to do sports in the open air for free and with all the comforts and safety the place can afford. Now workouts primarily consist of using your own weight to exercise, so they do not require either professional sports background or expensive appliances. All you need is a comfortable outfit and knowing how to do the exercises right.
