FGC UES Repairs Autotransformer Unit At Demyanskaya Station

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 5, 2017. Rosset’s Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems competed the capital repairs of its 229-kilowatt autotransformer unit at 500-kilowatt Demyanskaya Power Substation in Tyumen Region, the company press service reports.
Two more autotransformer units will get repaired at 500-kilowatt Kholmogorskaya Substation and 220-kilowatt Urengoy Substation in Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous District before the end of the year.
‘The company power engineers checked the switching units for performance and replaced the relays, the gas protection and current circuit cables, the rubber seals, and the isolation valves. Silica gel was replaced in the dehydrating filter breathers, as was transformer fluid. Finally, the cooling system was inspected for possible flaws,’ the press service says.
Demyanskaya Power Substation was originally launched in 1969. The station’s estimated transformer capacity comes to 1,256.6 MVA. This is an important power hub for Tyumen Region, responsible for supplying power to Gazpromneft’s and Transneft’s facilities.
