UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 2, 2019. Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems (FGC UES) completed renovating its 500-kilowatt Tyumen Power Substation: the substation now has a completely new set of power equipment (total capacity: 1252 МVА), upgraded switchgear appliances, and remote control systems, FGC UES Western Siberia’s PR & Media Group reports.
‘As a result, new electric power consumers can now get connected to the substation; plus, the entire facility, which is crucial to the transit of electric power in Tyumen-Ural line and is also a part of Tyumen Power Station 1 and Tyumen Power Station 2 systems, operates in a safer mode. All this ensures stable power supply to the oil and gas companies and metallurgical enterprises operating in the area,’ the Group says.
Tyumen Power Substation also has two new 500/200-kilowatt autotransformer sets and two new 220/110-kilowatt autotransformer units now. Besides, three new 60-MVAr shunt reactors got installed to control the voltage level and reduce watt loss.
The substation has been fitted with power meters, automated control systems, protection relays, and microprocessor terminal-based automated appliances.
