UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 26, 2017. Russian Copper Company’s RMK Boxing Promotions sponsors two large-scale sports events in Yekaterinburg on July 3-9, the company press service reports.
This is the so called Bravery Week and a Russia-Japan MMA/boxing championship featuring a world class sports player Denis Lebedev.
Bravery Week is an open event for everyone, aimed to promote sports and love of one’s home country among the younger generations. For one week, the site in front of Yekaterinburg Drama Theater in Oktyabrskaya Square will host over ten different activities to popularize a healthier lifestyle, teach the participants the basics of self-defense, and attract more attention to boxing as a sport,’ the press service says.
A special park will also get set up in the square to host sports events, including professional boxing, Muay Thai and MMA fights (with children sports players, among others), professional fighters’ workouts, the national strength athletics championship, an extreme sports festival (key feature: setting the national record for free-fall aeromat-landing from the height of 45 meters), musicians’ performances, and much else besides. A shooting gallery, a water weapons site, a Great Patriotic War museum, and a site to play with Nerf weaponry and laser strikes will also be open and available. All events are free to attend and take part in.
