Sverdlovsk Region Government Gives Cities 490m RUR to Repair Roads

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 23, 2017. Sverdlovsk Region Government increased the amount of subsidies allocated for road-building and road repairs in the area this year by 490m RUR, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region’s Information Policy Department reports.

253.5m RUR will go directly to repairing roads in Yekaterinburg; the money will be used to co-finance the projects selected by Russia’s Construction Ministry within the framework of their housing construction support program.

According to Transport & Communications Minister Vassily Starkov, the funds are meant for building roads in Akademik Sakharov St (from Wilhelm de Gennin St to Amundsen St) and from Tenistaya St to Sukhodolskaya St. Also, three new streets will be introduced in Solnechny District.

The constituency received around 804m RUR from the federal budget to implement its housing programs this year; 586m RUR will be used to build and repair roads. Besides, another 217.7m RUR will be allocated by the Russian Government to co-finance the construction of two kindergartens in Solnechny and Akademicheskiy Districts of Yekaterinburg. 1.1bn RUR will be allocated from both federal and constituency budgets for road and housing construction this year altogether.
