UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 19, 2017. Sinara Transport Machines’ Ural Diesel Motor Plant shipped its first 12-cylinder diesel engine DM 185 to Belarus’s BELAZ Car Factory.
According to Sinara Group’s press service, the engine is used in heavy-duty BelAZ 7530 quarry dumpers (capacity: 200,000 to 240,000 kg) that are meant for transportation of rock and loose cargo in all kinds of climatic conditions.
‘DM 185 is currently unique to Russia and is very powerful yet considerably lighter and smaller than its earlier counterparts. Ural Diesel Motor Plant’s designers implemented all the most advanced engineering solutions in the process of its development and production. For one, the fuel appliances work at injection pressure of 2,200 bar; also, the engine is fitted with a turbocharging unit with air coolants and a microprocessor-based fuel injection control unit made in Russia. Finally, there are special cooling system fans and pneumatic compressors that are part of the air conditioning and air duct systems,’ the press service says.
