MegaFon Launches Life Control

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 29, 2017. The telecommunications provider MegaFon’s Urals-based subscribers can now take their gadgets to a next level with Life Control, the company press service reports.

Users can now have a set of smart-home features in their apartments (any given set is unique and gets put together like a set of Lego pieces) if they buy a control system and the necessary sensors and devices to do the work. All of the Life Control units within the system will exchange data via a high-speed 4G Internet connection and alarm the users to any dangerous activity in the house.

‘Life Control units can get operated from anywhere in the world using your smartphone, so they are particularly useful in this time of the year when people flock to their dachas, go picnicking, or travel. An eco system gives you fewer things - such as an iron plug still in the socket or a running faucet — to worry about,’ says MegaFon Ural Mass Market Segment Development Director Sergey Alferov.

In addition to added safety, these automated habitat units can be used to see what your pets are up to when you are away or to make sure the light turns on automatically as soon as someone enters the room.

The system can get controlled through lifecontrol.ru or a mobile app on your smartphone or tablet. The user can operate the entire set remotely and adjust all the settings as needed. Data on all important events get broadcast to the user online, with a text message, push message, or an e-mail alert.
