ChTPZ Group to Celebrate Victory Day

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 10, 2017. ChTPZ Group’s Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant are going to celebrate the 72nd Victory Day in a series of festive events, the Group’s press service reports.

The events will get attended by more than 1,700 war veterans and home front workers.

‘A memorial march for war veterans and home front workers will take place next to the war monument in Chelyabinsk on May 8. Both war veterans the Group employees are going to take part in it. On May 9, the plant workers will join the 66th track-and-field championship at Voskhod Stadium. A large-scale performance will be arranged at the Group’s Culture Palace as well, featuring a military band. A field kitchen will be set in place for visitors to the event,’ the press service says.

In Pervouralsk, a special concert was organized at the plant’s Culture Palace for the war veterans and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant employees on May 4. Children will be invited to join a special military training course on water at the Water Sports Palace. The city’s 83d track-and-field relay race is scheduled for May 6. On Victory Day, the plant workers will also take part in a solemn memorial ceremony next to Eternal Flame near the plant entrance. The torch got renovated for the occasion.

‘May 9 is a special day for the metallurgical workers, as is the case for most Russians. Our plant employees worked hard during the war to help our soldiers win,’ says ChTPZ Group shareholder Alexander Fedorov.
