MegaFon: 1.5 More Customers Use MMS Ads
27 April 2017 (17:11)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 27, 2017. The Ural business community keeps choosing text and multimedia messages as their preferred advertising channel. According to MegaFon analysts, the number of companies willing to book a text messaging option as one of their advertising tools has gone up by 1.5 times since the start of this year, the telecommunications provider’s press service reports.
Text messages have grown so popular because they help segment a company’s target audience based on their gender, age, or location - thanks to MegaFon.Target.
In Russia on the whole, over 2,500 of MegaFon’s business customers have tried this new messaging option out. The service proved particularly popular in the Urals’ tertiary sector, with car mechanics, beauty parlors, fitness studios, travel agents, dentists, and cafes segmenting their message-receiving audience prior to the start of the texting process. This helps reduce the amount of spam messages and makes promotion more efficient.
‘Small and medium enterprises can now launch their own ad campaign on any budget and with any number of messages they wish. The important thing is, the text messages will only get sent to those customers to whom the information will actually be relevant.’
