Ural Vagon Zavod Elects New Chair

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 29, 2017. Engineer from the company’s Technological Institute Andrei Pestov was recently elected new Chair of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant’s Young Workers’ Council, the company press service reports.
Pestov came to replace Vladimir Vaskov, who was the council’s Chair in 2009-2016. Additionally, new members of the council were elected as well. They are to stay in office until 2019.
The elections took place at the head plant’s I.V. Okunev Culture Palace. The agenda of this meeting also covered a report on the council’s performance in 2014-2016.
There are currently 142 people on Ural Vagon Zavod’s Young Workers’ Council. Their main task is coordinating internships and training programs for the recently hired employees. For one, 109 people underwent training sessions in the last two years.
Also, two science-to-practice conferences were coordinated in November 2014 and April 2016 in order to involve the plant’s younger workers in finding solutions to the most vital production, economic, and retooling problems. 120 and 129 reports, respectively, were presented, with 559 employees of both the head plant and the corporation’s other member enterprises (Burevestnik, Uraltransmash, KULZ, Omsktransmash, and others) taking part in both conferences.
Finally, 96 people competed for the Director-General’s Prize in 2014-2016, with 25 winners.
