Ural Vagon Zavod Celebrates V-Day

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 11, 2016. All of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporaiton’s member enterprises coordinated festive events dedicated to the Great Patriotic War Victory Day, the company press service reports.
The corporation’s head plant’s veterans council has as its members fifty-six war veterans and 796 home front workers, for whom special events and ceremonies were organized around Victory Day, for example, a checkup at the company’s medical unit and a personalized first-aid box for everyone. Additionally, 6.5m RUR were directed to fund the veterans’ stay at the company Pine Mountains Resort, and 10m RUR were allocated for the celebrations and premiums for the veterans and home front workers.
The wartime heroes joined the corporation workers in the Parade along Nizhniy Tagil’s main street. Employees from Ural Vagon Zavod’s head plant and member enterprises (Ural Railcar Building Design Office, Ural Transport Machine-Building Design Office, Uralcryomash, UBT-Servis, UBT-Ekologia, and others) all took part in the solemn march, as did the corporation’s feature vehicles: the fire support vehicle Terminator 2, and the T34 and T90C tanks. A solemn ceremony also took place in Glory Square next to the Eternal Flame war memorial.
