UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 22, 2015. Nizhniy Tagil Council ruled that Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant had the best civil defense and emergency prevention practices in 2015.
The company press service reports the winner’s certificate and the prize cup were given to the plant’s Senior Engineer Yuri Shangin by head of the city council’s Civil Defense Department Andrei Zhbanov and Deputy Mayor for Construction Konstantin Zakharov.
The second prize went to Uralcryomash, also a member enterprise of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation. The awarding ceremony took place during the training drill for civil defense, emergency prevention, fire safety, and human safety on water.
This year, Ural Vagon Zavod complied with all the Russian Industry & Trade Ministry’s guidelines in that safety certificates were issued for all the hazardous industrial objects. Also, anti-terrorist attack training drills are now carried out at all the production departments on a regular basis (at least biannually). In October, a large-scale bomb threat simulation was coordinated for the personnel at I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture in Nizhniy Tagil.
