ChTZ Installs New Resource-Accounting System

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 24, 2016. New, up-to-date resource-accounting systems to control electric power, natural gas, and water spending were installed at Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ) at the corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko’s initiative, the company press service reports.
‘We looked at other member enterprises’ experience with these before switching to new systems ourselves. The results were better than expected, so we are absolutely confident about the economic benefits to come. The power meters’ data get transferred to our dispatcher’s control panel at the Senior Engineer’s Department, which allows for online analysis of the plant’s performance and for efficient power-spending planning. Savings result from choosing the best equipment workload settings and regulating the power workload through a special schedule,’ says the plant’s Deputy Senior Engineer Alexei Bakharev.
Up-to-date firefighting and drinking water meters were installed at the plant to decrease water spending. The data get transferred to the control panel as well to ensure timely process management. The goal is to both save on water resources and indicate occasional leaks as quickly as possible.
The plant’s clever resource-spending policy has already resulted in a 10% decrease in energy spending and a 40% decrease in water spending.
