Armada Paralympic Team Wins in Russian Cycling Championship

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 10, 2016. The Paralympic cycling team Armada, sponsored by Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation, won six gold medals at the Russian Cycling/Trekking Championship for motion impaired sports players, the corporation’s press service reports.
Alexei Obydennov won four gold medals, winning the C-3 1-km heat race (1:10:454 minutes), the 3-km pursuit race, and the mass start race. The sportsman trains with Ekaterina Mukhortova. Using his social network pages, Obydennov thanked everyone who helped him win, including Ural Vagon Zavod.
Arslan Gilmutdinov and Sergei Pudov won gold medals in the 3- and 4-km races, respectively. The two sportsmen from Udmurtia won in the C2 and C4 1-km heat races earlier.
Also, Obydennov and Pudov shared the first prize in the final team sprint.
Twenty cyclists from nine consistencies (Moscow, Udmurtia, and Kaliningrad, Tyumen, Omsk, Moscow, Samara, Kirov, and Novgorod Regions) took part in the tournament.
