Ural Vagon Zavod to Supply 1,300 Vehicles to Defense Ministry This Year

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 7, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation has been fulfilling all of the defense procurement requirements in time and in full for the last six years, with some items delivered ahead of schedule, the company press service reports.
‘This year, some 1,300 military vehicles and weaponry units will be supplied to Russia’s Defense Ministry, and over a half of these are our latest makes. The company is working on a wide range of tasks relating to design, upgrade, and production of promising weapons and vehicles,’ the press service says.
The defense procurement requirements for the year 2016 cover around eighty government contracts (forty-five contracts with industrial enterprises and thirty-five contracts with repair depots); over 80% of these contracts are long-term ones. Ural Vagon Zavod intends to meet its obligations in time and supply the Defense Ministry with best quality produce.
The corporation’s net profit exceeded 8bn RUR in the eight months of 2016, with expected revenues at more than 100bn RUR by the end of the year. The company makes goods for the Army and Navy as well as the Air Force.
