Ural Vagon Zavod Tanks Prove Popular at Tank Biathlon 2016

UrBC, Moscow, August 16, 2016. Tank Biathlon 2016, part of an international military championship held at Alabino Range in Moscow Region, rounded up with the Russian team winning the first prize. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko and Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented the winners with medals and keys to UAZ Patriot automobiles, their prizes.
According to the company press service, eighteen teams from all over the world (Russia, Iran, Kuwait, Angola, and other places) competed in this armored vehicle control contest. The winning team got decided upon based on the individual and relay race results. The tank crew had to do an assault course with swamps, blocks of concrete, and escarps, and to hit special targets.
Both the spectators and the contestants spoke very highly of Ural Vagon Zavod’s T-72B3. A South African Republic representative commented on the corporation’s combat vehicles outstanding maneuverability.
’T-72B3 can cope with every bit of the assault course very well. Ural Vagon Zavod’s tanks are the best there are,’ said Ivan Lagutin, head of communications at mechanized battalion from Belarus.
The championship participants were also impressed with Ural Vagon Zavod’s organization of the event. A team of some thirty mechanics were in charge of vehicle maintenance and crew training.
‘We couldn’t make the swamps last year. This year, the problem was solved, and we are working in close cooperation with Ural Vagon Zavod’s specialists. Any issue is attended to within five to ten minutes, and we definitely wouldn’t be able to move from one stage to the next without the mechanics’ assistance,’ says Colonel Dragan Bojic from Serbia.
