UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 5, 2016. Tank Biathlon took off at Alabino Range in Moscow Region; Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation is acting as the event’s partner this year.

According to the corporation’s press service, the company supplied seventy T 72B3 and forty BMP 2 combat vehicles for these games; the plant is also in charge of technical assistance: more than thirty experts from the corporation’s eleven member enterprises are responsible for vehicle maintenance and crew training.

Eighteen teams from Russia and other countries such as, for example, Kuwait, Serbia, and Zimbabwe are going to compete for the Best Crew title. Colonel General and Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Oleg Salyukov said he thought very highly of Ural Vagon Zavod’s T 72B3 tanks.

‘The corporation’s vehicles proved very reliable in combat-like conditions at Tank Biathlon. The players specifically commented on the smooth weapon control system performance. Every year, the games attract increasingly more visitors from abroad, who grow interested in the corporation’s armored vehicles,’ the press service says.
