Ural Vagon Zavod To Make Tank Cars Serially

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 27, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation is launching its new 15-5181 tank railcar for transportation of chemicals on a serial scale, the company press service reports.
‘Our 15-5181 make is expected to enjoy enormous demand on the special-purpose tank railcar market; it has been subjected to the entire range of preliminary and certification testing as well as strength and braking tests,’ the press service says.
A trial loading/unloading run of a sample tank was carried out at one of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works sites.
The tank got certified for compliance with the TR TS 001/2011 Rolling Stock Safety Requirements by the Register of Certification on the Federal Railway Transport on July 19.
