Ural Vagon Zavod Gets Certified

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 13, 2017. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant underwent a number of certification procedures last year, getting new permits and compliance certificates allowing the plant to make its new rail products on a serial scale. The company also got its organization management system and its special-purpose vehicle quality management system certified in 2016.
According to the corporation’s press service, the plant went through a certification audit to prove compliance with the Customs Union’s Technical Requirements along twenty-two serially produced and five new goods for the railcar-building industry.
145 product varieties Ural Vagon Zavod makes at the moment have compliance certificates, including 10 types of gondola railcars, 12 types of tank railcars, 5 types of hoppers, 3 types of special-purpose platforms, 1 weighing railcar, 12 types of rail bogies, and spare parts and components.
An inspection carried out last year proved that the plant’s railcar produce quality management system meets the Russian standards. Ural Vagon Zavod also got its railcar produce business management system re-certified for compliance with the European IRIS standards by Russian Register International Association.
