EVRAZ Holding: 3 Workers Get Government Awards

UrBC, Moscow, July 19, 2019. Three employees of EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Plant (NTMK) received government awards; the executive order to this effect was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin; the awards were given out by Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian Federation President in Ural Federal District Nikolai Tsukanov in the course of a solemn ceremony, the holding’s press service reports.

Managing Director of EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Plant (NTMK) and EVRAZ Kachkanarsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (KGOK) Alexei Kushnarev received the Order of Honour. A.V. Kushnarev has been running EVRAZ NTMK for over a decade; he supervised the complete renovation of the plant’s converter shop, the construction of a new blast furnace, and the launch of new forming facilities.

Alexei Kushnarev is Russia’s Honored Metallurgist, the Russian Federation Government Prize winner in Science & Technology, the Cherepanov Prize winner, Honored Citizen of Nizhniy Tagil, Doctor of Engineering Science, and author of forty published research papers and twenty inventor’s patents.

Head of Blast Furnace 7 Project at NTMK Pavel Kolpakov and Head of Blast Furnace Department Konstantin Mironov received Medals of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland (Class II).
