Ural Vagon Zavod’s employees win state awards

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 21, 2015. Five employees of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation were given important government awards for their achievements; the awards were presented to them by Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian Federation President in Ural Federal District Igor Kholmanskikh, the company press service reports.

Four of the awardees work for the corporation’s head plant, and one more, Vladimir Brusov, is the Director of Volchansky Mechanical Plant (one of the corporation’s member enterprises). Brusov was awarded the Order of Friendship (by President’s Decree 526 dated October 22, 2015) for his contribution to the agro-industry development and many years of conscientious work.

Alexei Yelnikov, miller from the head plant, Mikhail Krapivin, forge-man from Forging Department 3, Nikolai Lebedev, planer from Forging Department 3, and Sergei Pogudin, thermal treatment operator from the head plant, were all awarded the For Merit to the Fatherland Medal (Class 2).

The medals were given to them for completing all the defense procurement requirements ahead of schedule, for introducing new items to the company’s defense and civilian goods product range and for improving the quality of existing products, for their great contribution to the corporation’s development, and for strengthening the company’s and Russia’s economic ties with foreign countries.
