UrBC, Chelyabinsk, December 7, 2015. Seven types of ChTPZ Group’s OCTGs with nano-particles within the welding seal were awarded the Russian Nano-Technological Product Decoration, the company press service reports. The solemn awarding ceremony took place in Moscow during the 4th Nano-Industry Enterprises Congress. The decoration was given out by head of Rosnano State Corporation Anatoly Chubais.
These 508 to 1420mm OCTGs were made in accordance with the Group’s own technology. A special combination of welding materials and welding modes resulted in presence of nano-particles in the welding seal; this was certified by Rosnano’s Nanocertifica. All the tests were carried out by Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University by order of Rosnano.
‘This Russian Nano-Technological Product Decoration is the recognition of the product’s innovative properties and great quality. Nano-particles make the welding seal stronger, which is especially important when large-diameter pipes are used in harsh climatic conditions, in the permafrost, and across sea beds. This award stands for a high estimate of our metallurgists’ work and a proof that the Group makes pipes which meet all the modern national and international standards,’ says ChTPZ Group’s Director-General Alexander Grubman.
