UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 11, 2015. Mayor of Nizhniy Tagil Sergey Nosov declared Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko the city’s Citizen of Honor at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the City Day. The nominee was voted for by the majority of Nizhniy Tagil Duma deputies in late June, the corporation’s press service reports.

‘They often say our job is to make goods and meet production targets, and that’s that. But we also invest in social infrastructure and its further maintenance, we make every effort to make sure the city inhabitants see they are not treated as mere means of production. They are treated as people who enjoy going to work and enjoy coming back in the open air even more. We’d like our workers to keep on developing and our city to look much better, because it’s worth it,’ Sienko said.

The corporation’s top executive was also given a souvenir medal and a certificate signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin to mark his contribution to the organization of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and the 11th Winter Paralympics in Sochi.
