UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 5, 2015. Uralvagonzavod Corporation is going to feature all of its latest developments (including the self-propelled howitzer 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV and tanks T15 and T14) at the 10th Russia Arms Expo Exhibition, the event coordinators report.
The Russian Defense Ministry’s Procurement Department agreed to the exhibits being displayed on a guarded and cordoned site.
2S35 Koalitsiya-SV, the Russian 152-mm SP howitzer, was designed by Burevestnik, the Nizhniy Novgorod-based scientific research institute. The howitzer is meant for destruction of short-range nuclear forces, artillery and mortar batteries, tanks and other armored vehicles, anti-tank weaponry, troops, air defense and ABM weapons, control units, and field fortifications as well as for preventing the enemy’s maneuvers.
T15 is meant for maneuver warfare against all sorts of enemy as part of tank and motorized rifle troops and as the primary means of combat under a nuclear or other WMD attack.
T15 is a promising Russian armored combat vehicle with Armata all-purpose track-laying platform. The tank is going to be the first heavily armored track-laying vehicle to be used by the Russian Armed Forces.
