November 7, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporation is taking part in INDO DEFENCE 2014 Exhibition for the first time this year. The arms fair opened in Indonesia on November 5, the corporation’s press service says.

The corporation is going to present its promising military developments at the 6th international exhibition and forum for Indonesia’s three army services.

The corporation’s stand, the largest within the Russian section, features the produce by several of the company’s member enterprises, namely, Nizhniy Tagil-based Uralvagonzavod, Omsk-based Omsktransmash, Chelyabinsk-based ChTZ Uraltrac, and Nizhniy Novgorod-based Burevestnik Scientific Research Institute.

The models of the T-90C tank and of the upgraded T-72 one as well as Terminator (a tank support combat vehicle), battlefield recovery vehicle BREM-1M and obstacle removal vehicle IMR-3M are now being displayed at the stand. All of these special-purpose vehicles were designed by Ural Transport Machine-Building Bureau and produced by Uralvagonzavod.

Military experts found Omsktransmash’s amphibious full-track vehicle PTS 4 particularly interesting. The machine is meant for getting artillery systems, armored infantry vehicles, light armored vehicles, tow cars, automobiles, troops, and various types of cargo across water obstacles.
The experts also wanted to take a closer look at the developments by Burevestnik: the 57-to-100-mm-bore naval guns.

Indonesia’s Commander-in-Chief of the Army General Muldoko, the Indonesian Army Chief of Staff, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Indonesia Mikhail Galuzin as well as a number of other high-profile officials all paid a visit to Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s stand within the first days of the exhibition. They were briefed in on the corporation’s products by the company’s special representative for military and technical cooperation Alexei Maslov.
