2 July 2015 (12:54)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 2, 2015. The latest issue if Technowars, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s company magazine, carried a feature on modern technologies that could turn a young recruit into a perfect soldier, the corporation’s press service reports.

‘One way for Homo Sapiens to keep evolving is through genetic interference. Are we in for a brave new world or for a dark dystopia? The article on creating a perfect human dwells upon modern DNA technologies and gives experts’ opinions on biotechnological research involving the human genome,’ the press service says.

Two more articles (A Modern Knight’s Armor and The History of Ratnik) are dedicated to personal ballistic protection devices, including the battle-suits currently developed in Russia. The article on Ratnik is remarkable in that it contains the actual feedback the Russian military gave on the latest infant combat set. Additionally, technowars.ru offers a detailed electronic digest of the entire issue. The magazine is also available in Android- and iOS-friendly smartphone versions.

Technowars is currently Russia’s first and only magazine to feature key events in the arms and military vehicles industry and the latest developments in the defense industry.
