May 13, 2015. Director-General of Uralvagonzavod Corporation Oleg Sienko has been appointed Vice President of Defense Enterprises Support League (LSOP).

The corporation’s press service says the news was announced by the association’s President, First Vice President of Russian Machine-Builders’ Union and First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Industry Committee Vladimir Gutenev.

‘We have already nominated four LSOP Vice-Presidents out of six. These are Deputy Head of Russia’s Military & Industrial Commission Oleg Bochkarev, who is already an active league member, President of United Shipbuilding Corporation Alexei Rakhmanov, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko, and President of United Aircraft Corporation Yuri Slyusar,’ Gutenev said.

He also pointed to the importance of making some changes to the league’s structure, since it was the LSOP that started a vital discussion on the necessary amendments to the procurement legislation: the league asks for introduction of an interdepartmental control system to monitor the spending of budget funds directed to defense procurement orders.
