December 2, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s member enterprises organized a number of festive events to celebrate Mother’s Day, the corporation’s press service says.
For one, Kirov-based LEPSE paid money bonuses to women with many children: there are currently seventy-four such female workers at the plant.
Kamensk Uralsky Foundry Plant congratulated the members of the fair sex working for the company as well. Around 50% of the plant’s workers are female, and all of them are actually mothers.
Mothers employed at Yurga Machine-Building Plant were congratulated, too: the plant currently employs over 1,800 women. A special concert was held for the plant’s best female workers, trade union workers, and long-service employees at Victory Club on November 30.
The corporation’s head plant coordinated a creative contest for its female workers, with forty-two women of all ages and qualifications taking part in the event.
What is more, five mothers working at Uralvagonzavod were awarded with the company Mother’s Pride decoration and with a money prize for their many years of service, their proactive life stand, and for their efforts to support and revive family and company values.
‘An art contest for the plant workers’ children was also organized in celebration of International Mother’s Day at Uralvagonzavod. The children’s works had to be dedicated to their mothers’ jobs. 38 painted and crafted artworks and essays were submitted all in all, with prizes awarded in three age categories – 4-7 year-olds, 8-11 year-olds, and 12-15 year-olds. All of the contest participants were given large stuffed animals as a present, while their parents were treated to gift certificates from school supplies shops. Similar contests were held at some of Uralvagonzavod’s separate departments as well,’ the press service says.
