Uralvagonzavod congratulates female employees on Women’s Day

March 11, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation enterprises congratulated their female employees on Women’s Day
The corporation’s press service reports the women workers were congratulated in Volchansk, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Kirov, and other cities where the holding’s enterprises are based.
‘As for the corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil, the final round of the annual Woman of The Year contest was solemnly held the other day. In 2014, the contest involved 73 workers, who competed in three categories: Woman Professional, Woman Leader, and Woman Destiny. The winners and laureates will be awarded on the stage of the local Palace of Culture. They will be presented with gift certificates to white goods stores. The awarding ceremony will continue with a bright and colorful show. Besides, every female employee of Uralvagonzavod will receive the traditional 500-ruble bonus. There are actually 13,690 representatives of the fair sex at the plant, which amounts to more than 45% of the workforce. Uralvagonzavod management also remembered the long-service employees, who took part in the festivities as well,’ the press service says.
There are 346 female workers at Volchansk Mechanical Plant. A concert at the company club and mini-shows on the premises of their departments were organized in their honor. As for Omsk-based Transport Machine-Building Design Office (KBTM), a contest of children’s drawings dedicated to International Women’s Day was held on March 7. The contest was held among the employees’ children in two age groups: 5 to 8 year-olds and 9 to 12 year-olds. The winners were given diplomas and valuable prizes. Besides, every woman worker was given a 500-ruble bonus ‘for work achievements and because of International Women’s Day’.
Yekaterinburg-based Uraltransmash celebrated International Women’s Day with solemn meetings. Department heads congratulated the female workers, gave them presents from the company, and awarded those whose work achievements proved particularly impressive with thank-you letters from the company management.
‘Nearly 4,000 representatives of the fair sex are employed by Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. On the eve of International Women’s Day, the administration and the trade union made a written thank-you entry in the working records of 85 best female employees of the company and its daughter enterprises. On March 7, a solemn cerermony took place at the plant theater, where the ladies were congratulated by the company management as well as by the best performer teams of the plant’s Palace of Culture. The plant’s Palace of Culture’s popular Russian folk song choir run by Deserved Cultural Worker Igor Ignatiev performed specially for the ladies. Naturally, the women of every department, division, and section were congratulated with nice words, flowers, and souvenirs,’ the company press service says.
Kirov-based LEPSE presented thank-you notes and offered bonuses ‘for great contribution to production efficiency, cutting production costs, and enhancing product quality, reliability, and competitiveness’ to 67 woman workers. 11 long-service employees and former plant workers were offered some financial aid.
