Over 1,000 migrants get deported in 2014

November 13, 2014. Over a thousand migrants were deported by Sverdlovsk Region authorities to their home countries in January-October 2014; more than 6m RUR were spent on funding their tickets, Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Service of Court Officers reports.
1,030 court rulings regarding the need to place foreign subjects and apatrides in special establishments were placed with the Service’s division in ten months of the year. 934 foreigners were sent back home.
Among those who left were 372 citizens of Tajikistan, 336 citizens of Uzbekistan, and 165 citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, 31 Vietnamese citizens, 10 Chinese citizens, and 9 citizens of Nigeria had to be deported. The rest of the deported permanently reside in the countries of the near abroad.
