October 8, 2014. Sverdlovsk Region authorities are planning to direct over 12bn RUR to the development of local agricultural sector within the following three years, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeniy Kuivashev said in his budget address to Sverdlovsk Region Legislative Assembly.
‘Speaking of the real sector, I’d like to dwell specifically on the agricultural sector, which grew considerably in 2013. We have already covered our potato, egg, and bread needs by 100%. Now the task is to keep increasing the local meat and dairy products output,’ Kuivashev said.
The Governor also said that real sector’s development, import replacement, modernization programs, and creation of new jobs were the top developmental priorities for the coming three years. It is Sverdlovsk Region Ministry for Industry & Science that is to ensure the achievement of these goals.
