September 12, 2014. Burevestnik Central Scientific Research Institute (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) presented Nizhniy Novgorod Machines & Defense Industry Museum with three samples of artillery armament and new standers with information on the samples’ performance characteristics, the corporation’s press service says.

‘We gave our Victory Park three samples of artillery armament: the 120mm self-propelled artillery piece 2S23 Nona-SVK (Burevestnik took part in the creation and development of the piece), the 120mm mortar 2B11 devised by our designers, and the 122m howitzer D30 elaborated by Sverdlovsk Experimental Design Office 9. These machines were created after the war and are still used by the armed forces, so they can be seen as the weaponry of ‘heirs to Victory’, Burevestnik Director-General Georgiy Zakamennykh said during the gift-giving ceremony.

According to Zakamennykh, in the future the military units that are Burevestnik’s partners will hand some samples of combat vehicles over to Victory Park.
