August 8, 2014. Plant 9 (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) bought a cleaning vehicle for its production premises recently According to the corporation’s press service, this modern machine will be used at Department 23.
‘Despite the fact that this department was set up in early 2013 and has the newest equipment possible, it is impossible to avoid some spillage of oil which has to be used in the production process. For one, members of the third-stage control committee voiced numerous complaints regarding oily floors during their inspection of the department; they insisted that the floors should be kept clean,’ the press service says.
The cleaning machine operates on a battery: after the battery gets charged for twelve hours, the vehicle can operate for four hours. Plant 9 reports this is quite enough.
‘This foreign machine is fitted with cleaning brushes, which means it can both wash the floor and sweep the waste such as dust, shavings, and the like,’ says head of the plant’s Maintenance & Supply Department Tatiana Borisova.
‘The operator-controlled machine cleans 4.5 km of production premises per hour; if the machine is fully charged, a production shift would amount to 15 to 18 km.’
